new ownership
Serving and assisting brides and their families since 1995, and after a long bout of illness, I’ve been fortunate to find someone to take my business to another level and to carry on the reputation and customer care established over the past 17 years, earning an A+ rating at the Better Business Bureau.
It’s with great privilege to introduce to you Laura Fellbaum, new owner of Central Minnesota’s bridal store with the largest selection and best customer service…“Celebrations Bridal and Formal Wear”.
I’m confident that Laura, her husband Kennard, and their extended families have what it takes to expand on the quality of service and excellent customer care!
I wish them many years of success and pray that they get as much gratification as I did over the years.
With that said, I would like to extend a heart filled thanks to each and every customer and employee from the first to the very last! Without either I would not have been successful!
I also need to thank my family for all their support and sometimes sacrifices over the years.
Last but not least, I’d like to thank God for getting me through each and every day, through days filled with blessings and days filled with adversities, and bringing to light the blessings in each adversity. For all the wonderful people that I was blessed to have met and served, and for my family, friends and employees. I’m a much better person having traveled this journey.
Blessings to all!
Barb Krousey

about us
I’m Barb Krousey, a certified bridal consultant, wedding coordinator and owner of Barb’s Bridal. Originating as Krousey's Bridal I’ve assisted brides and their families since 1995. Starting with invitations at my dining room table, the business grew with the needs of my customers.
An old remodeled granary located on our homestead in Swanville served as the first store location of Krousey's Bridal and the start of something I never dreamed of. As a one stop bridal store, the business moved to Little Falls January 1st, 2000. Ten years later we became Barb’s Bridal and Wedding Services. I believe with all I am in what we have to offer in the world of weddings so much so…I’ve put my first name on it.
God, the support of my family and customers, along with the loyalty, dedication and support of my employees as a combined effort has been the driving force behind the success of my business. I can only take credit for knowing and trusting in them.
Barb's Bridal has earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We are known as the store with the largest selection and best customer care in central Minnesota. You'll know what true customer care is when you shop at Barb's Bridal. "We're the store that just wants you to have a good experience!"
We’re worth the trip!
Introducing my partner apprentice, Laura Fellbaum! Laura has been working at Barb’s Bridal since 2009. Prior to that she was raised in the floral retail business in southern Minnesota and has worked with brides in floral off and on since 2005. I trust with all that I am that Laura will be everything I see in her and more. I’m honored to have her on board and welcome her as my partner.

Bridal Gowns
Mori Lee > Alfred Angelo > Mary's Bridal >
SELECTING THE PERFECT BRIDAL GOWN
Have fun! For some, choosing their bridal gown has been their fantasy since childhood and for others it's just another decision. Regardless, every bride needs a gown. There's a dress for every bride and a bride for every dress.
Your bridal gown should reflect your personality more than anything. If you want strapless in December or long sleeves in July, it's your wedding. It's your wedding and the 21st century, so anything goes.
Try on all styles; you might be surprised with your final decision. It doesn't cost a thing to try on dresses; probably the only free event in wedding planning.
I recommend taking photos of yourself in the dress(s) you most like before making a final decision. After all, your wedding photos will be the grand finale.

Bridesmaid Dresses
Mori Lee > Alfred Angelo > Bill Levkoff >
SELECTING THE PERFECT BRIDESMAID DRESS
The bridesmaid dresses you choose should compliment the desired look of your wedding as well as the body types of your attendants. Bridesmaid dresses can be ordered in many styles and colors with a wide range of sizes.
It's important that you choose a dress(s) that is flattering on all shapes and sizes. Separates work great as you can order the tops and bottoms in different sizes. You may want to have each of your attendants wear the top that most compliments figure and personality. I also feel it is very important to take into consideration the cost of the dresses, as some may not have the financial means at the time of your wedding or they may have more than one family member participating.
Ultimately the decision is that of the bride.
Flower Girl Dresses
Mori Lee > Alfred Angelo > Mary's Bridal >
SELECTING THE PERFECT FLOWER GIRL DRESS
The flower girl dress(s) you choose should compliment your wedding dress, but does not necessarily need to match perfectly. Flower girl dresses come in a wide variety of styles and colors; making it easy for you to compliment your dress with colored accents such as a sash, bows and ribbons, or even rose petals to compliment the color of the attendant's dresses.
Mori Lee > Alfred Angelo > Mary's Bridal > Bill Levkoff >
SELECTING THE PERFECT MOTHERS DRESS
Moms beware of the preconceived thoughts that your dress should be the same color as the attendants or that the mother-in-law should wear beige.
It's important that you choose a style that you feel comfortable wearing and a color that will compliment the wedding. Remember the photos will tell all.
Moms are finding their dresses more and more in the bridesmaid lines. The "Separates" line has been a blessing for moms as you can mix and match tops, skirts and colors. The best part about moms choosing a bridesmaid dress over a "Mothers" dress is the price.
PREFERRED TIME FRAME FOR ORDERING YOUR DRESSES *******
I recommend allowing yourself no less than 6 months for ordering any and all formal wear dresses.
Planning a last minute wedding? It happens all the time and it is possible to order a dress or dresses in short notice, so don't give up before you give us a chance.
Prom & Special Occasion

Tuxedos by SAVVI >
SELECTING THE PERFECT TUXEDO
A tux is a tux? Not really! There are many styles to choose from. Black is black but the fabrics, lapel, number of buttons and the length of the coat are all things to take into consideration when choosing a tux for your wedding.
Pin stripes and colored suits are back and now available is the business suit.
The vest and ties are available in so many colors that the choices are unlimited.
Colored shirts are becoming very popular and offer another means of change to help differentiate from the various roles of the groom, his attendants, the ushers and fathers.
The groom is usually set apart from the rest of the wedding party. This can be done by dressing the groom in a different tux style and or by choosing a different shirt or vest and tie color.
The groomsmen and ushers are typically set apart by dressing them in a complimenting vest and tie color.
The fathers most commonly have a look all their own. By dressing the fathers in a neutral vest, a tie color (silver, gold or black) or maybe a different tie style, they will still look a part of the wedding and yet not look like a groomsman or usher.
By choosing your tuxedos at least 3 - 4 months before the date of your wedding you will give the wedding party plenty of time to be measured so that your tux order can be placed within 4 - 8 weeks before your wedding day.

Veils & Tiaras
Illusions Bridal > AA Bridal > Mariell >
Try on all available accessories when you are choosing your dress. I recommend waiting until your dress has arrived before making a final decision on accessories.
The tiara should compliment your desired hair style and the shape of your face and reflect the color and design of your dress. The veil length should be determined by your height and size as well as the detail of your dress. Simple embellishments such as edging and/or scattered beads are a nice addition with the right dress.
Shoes
Touch Ups > Dyeables >
Choose shoes for comfort as well as style. Remember unless you have a back up pair of shoes for the dance you will be wearing your shoes for a long period of time.
Crinoline & Under Garments
Felina >
Not all dresses require a crinoline. Full a-line, tulle and beaded designs on the skirt of your dress are good reasons to purchase a crinoline. A crinoline can also be instrumental in raising the dress just enough off the floor to avoid the cost of a hem.
I recommend using a hoop rather than a crinoline. The hoop remains consistent throughout the day while a crinoline with humidity and body heat tends to lose its form, which in turn will lengthen your dress as the day progresses. The hoop will also provide ventilation.
Jewelry
AA Bridal > Mariell >
Bridal - Keep it simple. Your jewelry should be just enough to add the finishing touches.
Attendants - A necklace or bracelet and earrings makes a nice gift from the bride.
Other Accessories
Ivy Lane Design > Lilian Rose >
Shop around for items such as your garter, unity candle holder, pillow, etc. There's plenty of time, so without waiting until the last minute, you can take your time to find just what you want at a good price.
